It
has been announced that SJM Holdings, the largest
casino operator in China, will partner with fashion’s
iconic house of excess, Versace, on a new hotel and
casino in the Cotai area of Macau. Macau is the only
area of China where gambling is legal, and the ‘strip’
in Cotai has become a Vegas of sorts for wealthy gamblers
on Chinese soil.
This
new Palazzo Versace will be the third luxury hotel
for Gianni Versace SpA, with an existing location
on the Gold Coast in Australia and another being built
in Dubai.
